Jessica Gobert is a French/English illustrator born in Versailles, France, in 1995.
After attending a year in the school Auguste Renoir in Paris, she did a 3 year Degree in ESAL Épinal, studying image and narration. She then completed a Masters degree in Illustration and Book Arts in Cambridge School of Art in Cambridge, England.
After her studies she moved to Zagreb where she works as a visual artist/illustrator. She speaks Croatian (B1 level) and French and English.
She participated in the art fairs Nesvrstani and Kolektart in Lauba in 2021. In 2023 she had three solo exhibitions in Zagreb.
In 2024 she participated in two collective exhibitions in honor of Women’s Day. She was part of One su tu, in the city museum of Vinkovci and Intimne maramice in the SKC gallery in Rijeka. She also participated in the exhibition Voda in gallery HDLU Istre in Pula.
In 2024 Jessica also illustrated a book titled Raspelo for the Croatian publisher Knjiga u Centru. It is a picture book for adults with the text by Rujana Jeger, an excerpt from her novel Darkroom.
She also attended the 7th edition of the art fair Nesvrstani in Lauba, after which she was on an artist residency in Makarska organised by the Makarska City Museum as well as the Zagreb based gallery Kolekcionart. She also attended the artist residency in La Villa Puebla, Barcelonnette, France.
